Putting the final touches on my boat and doing all that final routine maintenance to my tackle for the tournament season. With my first tournament coming up in 3 weeks it is getting to be time to have everything ready and organized. Do you have a routine or system that you use to get ready for tournament season? I am streamlining my tackle so as not to have a bunch of extra stuff just getting in the way. The boat is all cleaned up and ready to go. A few more maintenance tweaks and I will be good to go. This weekend will be the first trip out for the year. Catching a few fish will just be an extra added bonus but just want to get it out and test everything is perfect. Good luck this year!
With the terrible weather we are experiencing this week we definitely are reminded that it is still winter! But hopefully this is a sign of good things to come. We need more water than last years low water fest that we had. I had that discussion with a buddy the other day. I have read a lot of great articles in the last week or so and I am going to start posting links to those within Local Lake conditions page within the next day or so when I repost that information. It is time now to start reorganizing your tackle and getting ready for tournament season which by the way starts in about a month. My first tournament is Feb 23rd at Ross Barnett for the MS div BFL. Wishing you all good luck and hope that you get a chance to hit the water soon!
What did I learn in 2012? Starting a business is exciting but very hard. Still learning those lessons of policy and procedure and how to be consistent. I consider myself a pretty good fisherman but I learned a lot this year. Not just about the fish but about myself. Patience and trust in myself is something I need to work on. I learned stress and worry can be most detrimental to lots of life's endeavors. All these lessons learned the real lesson for 2013 is how to apply them and not to repeat them. Good luck to all this year and hopes that you had a great holiday.
I am not a pro fisherman just Joe Average out here trying to enjoy the outdoors. I love to bass fish and love the competition of tournament fishing as well. Hope you find something within my sight that is entertaining or informative..
