Some freinds and I went to Horseshoe Lake in Arkansas yesterday. It was a gorgeous day still a little cold after our front coming through on Friday tough. We caught a few fish in the 3-4 # class but I think it still isnt quite right there yet. It will be ready with just a few more days of warm weather to go out there and catch a 20# sack. The fish were in around the trees but not overly active. I think they are still spread out between deeper to shallower water.
Spring is such a great time of the year! Lots to be excited about.
I caught my first good set of fish this year Thursday. Best one was about 3# on a spinnerbait and a redeye shad. The Bassmasters classic is going on this weekend and 17# is leading it on day one on the Red River in Louisianna. There was a tournament on Pickwick this weekend and one of guys I know had 20# and came in tenth. But the best thing of all it is beginning to warm up and signs of spring of coming to life. It is full blown fishing season, cabin fever can end. We will still have a couple of cold spells but it is TIME to hit the lake
Soon I will be adding baits to the site that can be purchased for a great price!
I look forward to adding this to the site. I have spent a lot of time adding content the last year or so and look forward to this next step. Although the weather doesn't look much like it today the fishing has been pretty good this year and tournament season is right around the corner. I will fishing as a boater in BFL this year for the first time in about 20 years. I am looking very forward to that challenge. Most of my tournament will be on Kentucky and Barkley lakes.
Good luck this year to you with your fishing.
I am not a pro fisherman just Joe Average out here trying to enjoy the outdoors. I love to bass fish and love the competition of tournament fishing as well. Hope you find something within my sight that is entertaining or informative..
