Balls of bait will begin to move shallow and to the back of creeks where bass will corner the bait and ambush them. I good tactic this time of year is to follow the wind and where it will position the bait. Wind will push plankton into banks that the bait will follow then the bass put themselves in position to ambush the shad. Windblown points can also be a great place to fish as well as shallow ledges where bait may be pushed into vulnerable positions. Much like fishing current wind will work the same way.
So this time of year just follow the shad to find the bass!
