This is definitely a great time of year to fish. Water temps have the fish pretty active and they are chasing bait feeding up for winter. You can catch them shallow to deep however you like to fish. It is just a matter of finding fish and bait using your electronics or eyes monitoring the environment around you looking for gulls or other activity. Much like the hunters in the woods we are doing the same kind of searches in the water. There will be some big fish shallow and deep giving you a good opportunity for some the best fishing of the year. The picture above is a good square bill fish caught at Pickwick by my Dad in 52degree water on a shallow gravel point with a ton of shad around.
I am not a pro fisherman just Joe Average out here trying to enjoy the outdoors. I love to bass fish and love the competition of tournament fishing as well. Hope you find something within my sight that is entertaining or informative..
