Resources for Memphis Area Anglers
I designed this website to help area Anglers find information about our area lakes, techniques, and tournaments in the area. I am a local salesman that unfortunately doesn't get to fish as much as I used to. I am doing this to help myself remember the old days, as well as prepare for my future fishing trips. The layout and extent of the website will be worked on and changed periodically. We are in the process of a major reworking of the site for 2021 in which we will be adding tons of video and additional information to the site.
This site's main purpose is to be informative, and hopefully you will find it to be helpful. There are articles and charts that will help beginning fisherman narrow down what techniques and lures to concentrate on, and when to use them. I routinely dig out articles and information from my past before I go on a fishing trip to jog my memory, and I am putting that information on this sight as I prepare to fish this year. I have found it helpful to get someone else's insight when I am on the water and hope you find it helpful as well. Below is a welcome video to site and map of the area we cover and that we will be talking more about in the future. My home lake is Horseshoe in Ark but love the diversity of lakes and rivers the Mid South has to offer. From ledges and grass in the TVA lakes, wood and muddy water of the MS corp lakes, current and backwaters of Mississippi, Arkansas, White rivers and or their tributaries to the deep clear water in Ark resevoirs. You can find about anything you want to do within a couple of hours.

Lakes/Conditions is a general report on what the lakes currently look like and water temperatures in the area. It is a broad view and there may be exceptions based on water inflows and types of lakes. I have updated it so that you can quickly look at the weather and find the current lake level using the links to sites that show such things. Area Lakes will have descriptions of the lakes and suggested tactics and patterns listed under this tab. This as well is a growing section of the site and I will post those items that I think you will find helpful. A 2016 goal is to do a video on each lake showing the kinds of structures and covers as well my favorite tactics on each. Midsouth Fishing Blog is just my thoughts or memories put on the site that I think you may find helpful or entertaining. Located under the Contact Me page which has the email and contact form for the site. Tournaments page is a quick synopsis of area tournaments and clubs that have sites on the web. It covers some of the main tournament trails in the area. I will try to expand this page further and report on local tournaments and results on this page as well. I am going to revamp it some over the next month or so as well. Seasons/Lures tab has a lot of information contained within it and contains lots of fishing tips and techniques divided into two parts: Seasons and Lures which are truly works in process and where you will see a lot of the upcoming videos posted in the future. The Seasons pages are a break down of the seasons and what techniques and lures may work. They are just a quick synopsis to help you get ready. I will be adding to them throughout the year to make them more robust throughout 2016 and will accept any suggestions or requests of what you would like to see. The Lures page is a quick review of the different baits we use, and tips to use them more effectively. I am also working towards a guide of best lures and techniques seasonally and by water temp/conditions.

If I know of a link to an article I think you will find helpful I will post those throughout the site. I will also publish links to other sites that I find helpful, such as: Corp of Engineers links for the lakes that list boatramps or facilities. Sites that are encompassing of a particular lake or vendors that I recommend for certain areas or products.
I hope you find my site useful, and will keep coming back, as I will be adding information all the time.
Hope to hear from you soon and send us pics of some of the great fish you catch!
