Area Lakes range from rivers to lowland and highland impoundments. Close to Memphis we have the Mississippi river and its tributarys. Lowland impundments with slow sloping points and flats. Within 3-4 hours we have highland deeper impoundments such as Greers Ferry and Center Hill. In this section I want to tell you about the area lakes, the area around them, and the techniques that work on them.
I am in no way an expert but have fished this area for 30 years now. I have fished tournaments and just for fun. We have a great expanse of different types of water and cover to fish that will allow for you to pick and chose what you are most comfortable with or what style of fishing you like to do. My personal favorites are fishing spinnerbaits and pitching plastics. I also love to throw frogs!!! Most of what you are going to read in these pages is just my personal opinions and experiences. I am sure there a lots of people who would do things different from me or that would argue they know better and they very well may. But I am giving you what has worked for me.
